When we started writing TA against EA version 6.5 there was no "Element List" function. We needed to see the data from multiple elements in a datagrid. We have continued to improve and update the functionality even though EA 7+ has the "Element List" we still work from our datagrid as it offers features and functions not found inside EA.
The fully functional datagrid in TA offers the same column moving and sorting as EA, and all of the same columns but TA takes the datagrid much further.
TA allows you to sort on multiple columns (by holding down when clicking on the column heading. TA allows filtering based on column contents to help concentrate on only the elements you want. TA allows multi level group-by allowing you to easily re-organise your data to the way that you need to see it.
You can quickly filter the grid to find the data you need with built in filtering functions.
These filters are then applied directly to the Gantt chart, only showing you the data that you want to see.
You control the columns that you want to see, selecting from a wide range of available columns. You can easily layout the columns in the order that you want to see them and you can 'pin' columns so that they remain static even as you look around the grid.
NEW IN 2.0! Time Architect now reads your model for all Tagged Values and allows you to add these as columns into the grid. Once added, you can now filter, sort and groupby these values to help you refine your data even further. You can clearly see the elements that have tagged values applied. Just as importantly, you can find the elements where tagged values haven't been - but should have been!
